Welcome
With a magnificent location in a beautiful cultural landscape, Utstein Kloster Hotell is located just 25 minutes from the center of Stavanger. We offer easy access by both car and boat and have a large free parking lot and our own deep-water pier.
The combination of beautiful nature and proximity to the sea creates a relaxing atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility.
With us you can stay overnight and have conferences, parties and other events.
At Utstein Kloster we have conference rooms, banquet rooms and comfortable accommodation. The historic church has fantastic acoustics and is perfect for concerts and other events. The wine cellar has an authentic atmosphere and is ideal for wine tasting. Utstein Kloster is owned by Museum Stavanger (MUST) which has a cooperation agreement with Utstein Kloster Hotell regarding the operation of conferences, parties and accommodation.
Restauration
On July 4, 1825, the sloop Restauration sailed from Stavanger with 52 emigrants on board. This departure is considered the beginning of the organized emigration from Norway to America. On July 4, 2025, it will set course for New York again. This is the 200th anniversary trip for the organized emigration.
